Heartland Welcomes Matt Sirovich to Its Board of Directors
Murfreesboro, TN – Heartland, an industry-recognized provider of advanced wastewater treatment solutions, announced today the addition of Matt Sirovich to its Board of Directors. Sirovich brings decades of experience guiding and growing companies across diverse sectors, combining investment acumen with a strong commitment to mission-driven leadership.
Sirovich is co-founder and Managing Partner of Scopia Capital Management, a New York–based institutional investment firm. Before founding Scopia in 2001, he was a Managing Director at DLJ Merchant Banking, a $3 billion private equity fund investing across healthcare, media, and manufacturing. He began his career in investment banking at Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Sirovich’s appointment coincides with the retirement of Robert Cawthorn, who has long served as Chairman of Heartland’s Board. The company’s Nashville facility — the Robert E. Cawthorn Technology Center — was named in his honor to recognize his decades of leadership and innovation across the life sciences and clean technology sectors.
