Heartland Appoints Stacie Dennis as Chief Financial Officer to Support Infrastructure Growth
Murfreesboro, TN – February 26, 2026 – Heartland today announced the appointment of Stacie Dennis as Chief Financial Officer, reinforcing the company’s leadership team as it advances large-scale wastewater infrastructure and expands its Evaporation-as-a-Service (EaaS) platform.
Dennis brings deep experience in project finance and infrastructure development across energy, transportation, and industrial sectors. Most recently, she served as Co-Founder and CFO of Flow6 Energy, leading fundraising and establishing financial operations to support commercialization. As the first CFO of LanzaJet, she raised more than $300 million in debt, equity, and grant funding to construct a first-of-a-kind renewable fuels refinery, in partnership with global strategic investors. She also served as CFO of Bulkmatic Transport, overseeing financial operations for a multinational logistics platform.
“Heartland has reached an inflection point,” said Mauricio (Mo) Vargas, CEO of Heartland. “With 25 projects deployed, 1.5 billion gallons processed, and one million gallons per day of installed capacity, we have demonstrated commercial wastewater infrastructure at scale. Industrial companies are facing increasing regulatory pressure and operational complexity. The right model is to rely on specialists to design and operate that infrastructure so customers can stay focused on their core business. That is what Heartland delivers. Stacie’s experience financing and scaling infrastructure platforms will help us expand that model.”
Heartland’s waste-heat-powered evaporation systems are deployed directly at customer sites across landfill, industrial, and power-generation markets, enabling onsite treatment of complex wastewater and PFAS-impacted streams. Through its EaaS platform, Heartland designs, builds, owns, and operates treatment systems — eliminating upfront capital investment, reducing long-term compliance risk, and converting wastewater management into a predictable, contracted service.
“Heartland has built a strong operating foundation,” said Dennis. “The opportunity now is to support disciplined expansion and deploy more contracted infrastructure assets in markets where regulatory complexity continues to increase. I look forward to partnering with the team to strengthen financial performance and unlock long-term value.”
The company extends its appreciation to Wendy Rollstin, who served as Interim CFO and helped guide Heartland through a pivotal period of operational execution.
Dennis will lead corporate finance, capital markets strategy, project finance structuring, and financial operations as Heartland advances infrastructure deployment across North America.
